Kniphofia Flamenco mixture
The bright, variably colored bottlebrush head blooms of our Kniphofia Flamenco mixture stand tall above its richly green grassy foliage. Also known as "Red Hot Poker," this sightly perennial has an attractive large clump growth habit that reaches about 2' wide and can be divided in spring every few years. The exotic-looking blooms change colors and vary from red, orange, yellow, and mixed.
Hummingbirds and butterflies love this great plant, which generally blooms throughout summer and into fall, depending on growing conditions. That flower heads are large and reach up to 3' tall atop their stems, and make excellent additions to floral arrangements. This unique plant is deer resistant, rabbit resistant, and also drought tolerant once established. Place in full sun and well-draining soil. Cold hardy to -15°F when protected from windchill.
Our 1 gallon Flamencos are rooted, fertilized and ready to burst with new growth. Some Flamencos grow very tall and change in size rapidly across seasons. If you order a plant that is very tall at the time, we will trim it as needed for shipping.
