Red flowers with a mild freckle pattern on the inside gives subtle character to this beautiful rhododendron. Johnny Bender has medium trusses and darker green foliage. It usually does well in partial shade to full sun and starts blooming around May. It can grow to 5' tall at maturity, and is hardy to -5°F when protected against windchill.
