Calluna vulgaris 'Dark Beauty' Heather

Dark Beauty is an award winning Calluna and has exceptionally attractive deep cerise red flowers. It blooms in mid to late summer and into fall. The contrast of the dark red blossoms with the dark evergreen foliage make this lovely shrub draw attention in any garden. It is a winner of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society. 

Dark Beauty heather needs well-draining soil and full sun. In hot conditions or climate some afternoon shade can be good. It is a low grower and only reaches up to one foot in height. An excellent choice for ground cover, borders, container growing, banks and beds. Deer resistant and hardy to -15°F when protected from windchill.
