Calamagrostis x acutiflora 'Overdam'

Calamagrostis Overdam is an attractively variegated Feather Reed Grass with a nicely clumping growth habit. It is versatile and a great choice as a feature plant, as well as for borders, beds, mass planting and floral arrangements. Long seed heads with slight pink hue show in spring and eventually open to an airy plumes with more of a creamy color. 

This ornamental grass grows to around 5' tall and 2' wide and should be placed in full sun to partial shade. For borders and beds plant about 2'-3' apart. Overdam is easy to grow and low maintenance. It is deer and rabbit resistant, drought tolerant once established, and can grow in clay soils. Cut back to the ground at the end of winter (after the last frost) to stimulate healthy new growth. It is hardy to -20°F, and it prefers growing conditions with cool evening air.
